Teknik Seçmeli Derslerin Dağıtımı ile İlgili Uygulanacak Kurallar:

1. Teknik seçmeli derslerin dağıtımında her öğrencinin not ortalaması ve tercih sırası değerlendirilecektir.

2. Dersler, aynı tercih sırasında kümülatif not ortalaması sıralamasına göre dağıtılacaktır. Kontenjanı dolmuş bir dersi tercih eden öğrenciler, o tercih sırası için haklarını kaybedecek ve bir sonraki tercihinden ders alabilecektir.

3. Önceki dönemlerde teknik seçmeli ders almak için kontenjan kazanmış, fakat ilgili kontenjana kayıt yaptırmamış öğrenciler listede en sonda değerlendirilecektir.

4. Her öğrenci yalnızca bir adet ekonomi-mevzuat temelli teknik seçmeli ders alabilecektir.

5. Teknik seçmeli ders alacak öğrencilerin mezuniyet döneminde olması gerekmektedir. Mezun olamayacak öğrenciler, mezun olacakları yıl teknik seçmeli derslerini alabilecekleri için öncelik mezun olacak öğrencilere verilecektir.

a. Mezuniyet durumunda olmayan bir öğrenci PETE321/PETE322, PETE331/PETE332, PETE343/PETE344 ve PETE352 derslerinden herhangi dört tanesini DD veya üzeri bir not ile geçtiyse, 3. Sınıftaki teknik bilgi odaklı derslerdeki eksikliklerinden ötürü öncelikli olarak ekonomi-mevzuat odaklı derslere başvurabilir. Ekonomi-Mevzuat kategorisinden sadece bir ders alınabileceğinden, PETE414 veya PETE310 gibi dersleri almış öğrenciler bu kategoriden başka bir ders alamazlar.

b. Eğer bir öğrenci 5a'da listelenen yedi dersten dördünü geçemediyse, hiçbir teknik seçmeli ders alamayacaktır.

6. Her öğrenci, teknik seçmeli ders eksiğini kapatmak için gerekli olan teknik seçmeli ders sayısı kadar ders alabilecektir. Örneğin, eğer bir öğrencinin iki teknik seçmeli ders eksiği varsa ve daha önce aldığı bir teknik seçmeli dersin notunu yükseltmek amacıyla bir üçüncü dersi almak istiyorsa, bu öğrenciye yalnızca 2 ders eksiği olduğu için 2 ders verilecektir.

a. 4. sınıfta olup mezuniyet durumunda olan ve tüm teknik seçmeli derslerini tamamlamış öğrenciler teknik seçmeli ders alamayacaktır. Ancak, bu durumdaki öğrenciler geçerli bir mazeret sunmaları halinde, bölüm değerlendirmesi sonucunda derslere eklenebilir.

b. Teknik seçmeli dersi eksik olup ders alabilecek durumda olan öğrenciler, not yükseltme amacıyla fazladan ders almak istiyorsa gerekçelerini bölüme iletmelidir. Bu öğrenciler de yalnızca bölüm değerlendirmesi sonucu gerekli görüldüğü takdirde fazladan teknik seçmeli ders alabileceklerdir.

Rules for the Allocation of Technical Elective Courses

1. The allocation of technical elective courses will be based on each student's cumulative grade point average (GPA) and course preference ranking.

2. Courses will be assigned in order of cumulative GPA within the same preference ranking. Students who select a course that has reached full capacity will lose their right to enroll in that course for the given preference ranking and will be considered for their next preference.

3. Students who were previously granted a seat for a technical elective course but did not register for it will be placed at the bottom of the priority list.

4. Each student may enroll in only one technical elective course related to economics and regulations.

5. Students enrolling in technical elective courses must be in their final year of study. Students who are not expected to graduate at the end of the academic year will not be given priority, as they will have the opportunity to take technical elective courses in their graduating year.

a. If a non-graduation student has passed any four of PETE321/PETE322, PETE331/PETE332, PETE343/PETE344 and PETE352 with a grade of DD or above, he/she can apply to the economics-legislation oriented courses primarily due to his/her deficiencies in the technical knowledge oriented courses in the 3rd year. Since only one course can be taken from the Economics-Legislation category, students who have taken courses such as PETE414 or PETE310 cannot take another course from this category.

b. A student who has not successfully completed at least four of the seven courses listed in 5a will not be eligible to enroll in any technical elective courses.

6. Each student may enroll in the number of technical elective courses necessary to fulfill their remaining graduation requirements. For instance, if a student is missing two technical elective courses and also wishes to retake a previously completed elective course to improve their grade, they will be permitted to enroll in only two courses, as they require only two additional electives for graduation.

a. Students in their fourth year who have already fulfilled all technical elective course requirements will not be permitted to enroll in additional technical elective courses. However, students in this situation may be granted an exception if they provide a valid justification and receive approval following departmental review.

b. Students who still require technical elective courses and are eligible to enroll but wish to retake a course for grade improvement must submit their justification to the department. Such students will be allowed to take additional technical elective courses only if deemed necessary based on departmental evaluation
