Değerli 4. sınıf ve Lisansüstü öğrencilerimiz,

1. 2024-2025 Bahar Döneminde açılacak teknik seçmeli ve lisansüstü derslerin listesi, kontenjanları ve önkoşulları aşağıdaki tabloda verilmiştir. Bu dersleri 4. Sınıf öğrencilerimiz ya da lisansüstü öğrencilerimiz alabilir.

2. Lisans öğrencilerimizin tercihlerini belirtmek için linki iletilen tercih formunu 14 Şubat 2025 Cuma günü saat 17:00'a kadar (kayıtların bittiği saate kadar) doldurup göndermeleri gerekmektedir.

3. Lisansüstü dersler için Bölümümüz lisansüstü öğrencilerimizin form doldurmasına gerek yoktur, kayıtlar onlar için açıktır. Diğer bölüm lisansüstü öğrencileri için bir önkoşul yoktur, ancak öncelik Bölümümüz öğrencilerinde olacaktır ve bölüm dışı öğrencilerin de tercihlerini aşağıdaki forma girmeleri gerekmektedir.

4. Belirtilen tarihten önce gönderdiğiniz son gönderiminizin, geçerli tercihiniz olarak değerlendirileceğini ve belirtilen tarihten sonra forma erişiminizin kaldırılacağını lütfen unutmayın.

5. Tercihlerinize, genel not ortalamanıza ve dersin kontenjanına göre belirlenip, derse kaydolabilecek öğrencilerin listesi önümüzdeki hafta başında Bölüm web sayfamızda ilan edilecektir.

6. Yaptığınız tercihlerin derse kayıt anlamına gelmediğini ve seçtiğiniz derslerin add-drop döneminde kayıt sistemine eklemeniz ve danışmanınızın onayını almanız gerektiğini unutmayın. Ders kaydının add-drop döneminde yapılması gereği bilgisi sizlere bu yazı ile bildirildiği için add-drop sonrası kayıt talepleri reddedilecektir.

7. Tercih bildirim formunda sizlerden, öncelikli tercih sıralamanızla birlikte almak istediğiniz ders sayısını belirtmeniz istenecektir. Belirtiğiniz sayıda derse kayıt yaptırmazsanız, gelecek dönemde açılacak teknik seçmeli dersler için yapılacak tercihlerde en sonda (belirtilen sayıda dersi alan öğrencilerden sonra) listede yer alacaksınız.

8. PETE426 dersi için 6 kişilik bir kontenjan açılacaktır. Diğer dersler için kontenjanlar gelen başvurular doğrultusunda her derse eşit sayıda öğrenci düşecek şekilde dağıtılacaktır.

9. Lisans öğrencileri yüksek lisans derslerine öncelikli olarak başvuramayacaklardır. Yüksek lisans dersi almak isteyen lisans öğrencileri sadece PETE519 ve PETE702 derslerine başvurabilecek, bu derslerde de tüm yüksek lisans / doktora öğrencileri yerleştirildikten sonra, bölüm değerlendirmesi sonrasında kalan kontenjanlara yerleşebileceklerdir. Bu derslere başvuran öğrenciler PETE310 veya PETE414 gibi ekonomi veya mevzuat temelli teknik seçmelileri almamış olmalıdır.

10. Petrol ve Doğal Gaz Mühendisliği dışındaki öğrenciler bölümümüzde açılan derslere başvurabilirler, fakat herhangi bir dersi alabilmeleri için dersi veren öğretim üyesi ile iletişime geçmeleri ve ilgili öğretim üyesinden dersi almasının uygun olduğunu beyan eden yazılı bir belge (öğretim üyesinin doğrudan yazacağı bir yazı, veya Bölüm Sekreteri/ Bölüm Başkanlığı / Sorumlu Araştırma Görevlilerine gönderilecek bir E-Posta) ile başvurusunu tamamlaması gerekmektedir. Bu öğrencilerin de form doldurmaları zorunludur, ve kontenjanlarda bölümümüz öğrencileri öncelikli olacaklardır. Sorumlu araştırma görevlilerinin mailleri aşağıda verilmiştir:

11. 2024-2025 Güz döneminde teknik seçmeli tercihi yapmış, fakat kendisine kontenjan açılan teknik seçmeli derslere kayıt yaptırmamış öğrenciler diğer tüm öğrenciler yerleştirildikten sonra kalan kontenjanlara yerleştirileceklerdir.

12. Teknik seçmeli derslerde aşağıdaki önkoşullar uygulanacaktır. Başvuru sırasında önkoşulları sağlamadığı belirlenen öğrenciler tercih sırasını kaybedeceklerdir. Dolayısıyla tercihlerinizi önkoşulları kontrol ederek almanız gerekmektedir.

Dear 4th year and graduate students,

1. The list of technical elective and graduate courses to be offered in the 2024-2025 Spring Semester, their quotas and prerequisites are given in the table below. Our 4th year students or graduate students can take these courses.

2. Our undergraduate students must fill out and submit the preference form, the link of which is provided, by 17:00 on Friday, February 14, 2025 (until the end of registration) to indicate their preferences

3. Graduate students of our department do not need to fill out a form for graduate courses, registration is open for them. There is no prerequisite for graduate students from other departments, but priority is given to the students of our department and they are required to enter their preferences in the form below.

4. Please note that your last submission before the specified date will be considered as your valid preference and your access to the form will be removed after the specified date.

5. The list of students who can register for the course, determined according to your preferences, GPA and the quota of the course, will be announced on our Department website at the beginning of next week.

6. Please note that the preferences you make do not mean registration for the course and that you must add the courses you have selected to the registration system during the add-drop period and receive approval from your advisor. Since you are informed with this letter that the course registration must be made during the add-drop period, registration requests after the add-drop will be rejected.

7. In the preference notification form, you will be asked to indicate the number of courses you want to take along with your priority preference order. If you do not register for the number of courses you specified, you will be listed last (after the students who have taken the specified number of courses) in the preferences to be made for the technical elective courses to be offered in the next term.

8. There will be a quota of 6 students for the PETE426 course. Quotas for other courses will be distributed according to the applications received, so that each course will have an equal number of students.

9. Undergraduate students will not be able to apply for graduate courses with priority. Undergraduate students who want to take a master's course can only apply to PETE519 and PETE702 courses, and in these courses, after all master's / doctoral students are placed, they will be placed in the remaining quotas after the department evaluation. Students applying for these courses must not have taken economics-or-legislation-based technical electives such as PETE310 or PETE414.

10. Students other than Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering can apply for courses offered in our department, but in order to take any course, they must contact the faculty member teaching the course and complete their application with a written document (a letter written directly by the faculty member, or an e-mail to be sent to the Department Secretary / Department Head / Responsible Research Assistants) declaring that it is appropriate to take the course from the relevant faculty member. These students are also required to fill in the form, and the students of our department will be prioritized in the quotas. The e-mails of the responsible research assistants are given below:

11. Students who have made a technical elective preference in the fall semester of 2024-2025, but have not enrolled in the technical elective courses for which a quota has been opened, will be placed in the remaining quotas after all other students are placed.

12. The following prerequisites will be applied for technical elective courses. Students who do not meet the prerequisites at the time of application will lose their preference order. Therefore, you need to check the prerequisites in your preferences.
