According to QS World University Rankings, METU Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering has become only discipline from Turkey ranking among the top ten (the 7th best Petroleum and Natural gas Engineering) in the world thanks to increasing reputation among international academicians. Our department has improved its 2022 degree (11th) and 2023 degree (10th).

The QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024 cover a total of 60 disciplines, grouped into five broad subject areas.

The Rankings are compiled annually to help prospective students identify the leading universities in a particular subject. Research citations, along with the results of major global surveys of employers and academics, are used to rank universities.
